I’ve decided to make a Dungeons & Dragons character every day this month. The first character of this project is a possible back-up character for my current campaign.
I’m playing a half-orc barbarian/wizard right now and very much enjoying him. However, it’s always a good idea of have a back-up ready should you do something stupid, accidental, or just have the dice go against you one night and end up dead.
Whereas my DM kept us to strictly using the races from the 5e Player’s Handbook, he’s given us total freedom on creating back-ups. I’ve put together another multi-classed character, bard and barbarian–bardbarian. He is a Tortle who sounds like Jon Stewart’s impersonation of Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.
He speaks slowly but is bloodthirsty and when he Rages or sings, he goes full on death metal kinda like Aggretsuko.
Tort is more a land tortoise than an aquatic turtle creature. In fact, he’s been wandering since he hatched. I might try to draw Tort, but we’ll see. What I like the most about him is the racial Shell Defense and the +5’s to Animal Handling, Insight, Perception, and Survival. It gives Tort a real wandering minstrel feel.
Feel free to look over his character sheet: tortuga fairbanks.
